I believe that everyone, in the course of life, has lied at some point. Are there things you have regretted because you lied? Has this brought goodness to your life? Is it true that you have freed yourself from sin after replacing all of this with lies? No one escapes sin, especially not lies, for all of this is seen and heard by God.
As Psalm 63:11 says:
There have been many instances in my life when I lied before I had a proper relationship with the Lord. I thought back then that I could get away with my sins by covering them with lies, but this is never pleasing to God. I may have concealed my sins in front of people, but not in front of the Lord.
He sees how dirty I am. He sees the things I hide. Nothing is hidden from Him.
Last year, my spouse and I faced a severe problem. We were deceived by our business partner, and after he took advantage of us, he defamed us in the area where our business operates. The ordeal we went through was extremely intense. During that time, I prayed constantly and entrusted everything that was happening to us to the Lord. It was incredibly stressful, and I often wondered how long his lies would continue. My spouse and I are the type who do not engage in such conflicts, but honestly, at that time, I wanted to confront him. However, I am grateful to the Lord for His reminders.
We contacted individuals in higher positions close to him to explain our stance, but he had already outpaced us. They were more inclined to believe him since my spouse and I were new to the business. They held a very negative view of our company. Our former business partner returned to that place as he had started his own business, and upon his return, he defamed us again. Once again, they believed him. I wanted to expose his lies at that time. I printed the text messages of his defamation in that place to others in positions of authority, intending to show them to reveal his facade. We arranged another meeting with higher-ranking officials to disclose all the malicious actions and plans he had, not only against us but also concerning that establishment.
And while we were talking to them, while I was holding the evidence against him, I was praying earnestly. My spouse and I heard such ugly words from them and that was when I decided it was not worth it to show them that evidence because they had already made up their minds about whom they would believe. So my spouse and I talked and we told each other to let God stop the lies he made against us.
What others believe does not matter. What matters is what God has seen. What truly happened. He may have deceived the people around him, but he will never deceive God.
Currently, we have continued our business in that place. We no longer pay attention to his slander, if there is any, because he no longer has any hold on us as we have also replaced our employees. We did not leave anything for him to hold on to because his people also deceived us.
It is easy to lie, in truth. Often, it seems like a habit for some. It is also difficult to prove especially if no one sees it. But God sees everything. Just like what happened to us, we were victims of lies, but by God's grace and mercy, our company is getting back on track. The Lord has stopped the lies. Although we do not know if he is still slandering us, we are gradually restoring the company that he defamed and sullied through his lies.
So if you are a victim of deceit or continue to live in deceit, join me in a short prayer.
Dear Father, thank You very much for the opportunity to be with and talk to You. Thank You for the beautiful day You have bestowed. Fill this with love and truth. May Your truth prevail in my life. I will only follow Your Words. Cleanse me from the filth brought about by sin. Let me not wish to cover any of this with lies. Let me constantly keep in mind that You are watching and always see what I do so that I may avoid things that are displeasing to You. Please help me, Lord, to overcome sins and lies. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Thank you for reading! All praise, worship, and gratitude goes to God.
